Initial Ideas (including all genres):
British Genre: I had an idea where it would be quite an energetic intro to the film like Trainspotting or Billy Elliot. It would start with a boy, teenager, waking up and then a montage of all of the things a typical teenager would do. No narration, just fast tempo music and a montage of shots. Or we could have the montage of shots like him working out and him saying one word for each shot e,g. "teeth", "shower", "work out", "wake up" etc...... This is all an illusion, my idea isn't finished but i thought like it would be revealed to the audience that his life isn't as good as it first seems e.g. his mum gets beaten by an abusive husband, finds a friend on the street (drugs? Thrown out of own house?)

Horror Genre: I don't know where the storyboard is so this is the general idea. A young woman is alone in her house at night. She is busy doing something like cleaning. She hears a noise outside, takes no notice of it. The noise repeats, but this time much louder. She is shocked but turns around to investigate. She walks into a large room with a window in the far background. A figure or face is shown out of focus in the window, the woman doesn't notice. The face/figure is clear enough for the audience to notice it, but blurred enough for the audience to be unsure what it is. The woman turns to walk to the window to look out of it, the figure disappears as soon as she turns to walk to the window. As she is looking out of the window the door bell rings. She turns quickly. The camera cuts to a shot in the back corner of the hallway leading to the doorway where it can see both the woman walking slowly to the door and the door. As she opens the door it cuts to a POV showing a pan of outside the house. There is nothing there. Then the camera cuts to outside the house looking at the doorway with the woman looking out. The figure from before is behind her. At the moment shot changes there is a huge sound. The sound is designed to scare the audience. The woman turns around and see the figure. She screams and runs around the antagonist. The camera cuts to a POV shot of her running up the stairs. She quickly runs into a room and hides in a wardrobe. The shot is inside the wardrobe and there is total darkness. Then there is a sudden flash of light and the figure rips her out of the wardrobe.

Horror Genre: An idea for a titling sequence for it to start of with a shot of a park at night, with eerie noises in the background. Then it shows a wide shot of a room that has weapons and missing posters pinned up on a wall. Followed from this is a shot of a bin bag, that has a body inside it, inside a lake. Then there's a pan of the weaponry and a bloody pair of gloves on the worktop. Then the same starting shot is put in again, but this time a dark figure is standing in the corner. Then a close up of one of the missing posters of a girl is shown, with the shot tilting downwards to a newspaper clipping of the same girl's body being found. A wide shot then shows a map of a local area with girls photos pinned to specific areas. The sequence ends with a shot outside a house that the antagonist lives in. All throughout the sequence a low and quiet score will be played, to keep the constant eerie atmosphere. The shots of the park will have wind effects corresponding with it.

British Genre: An idea that the sequence starts of with a pan establishing shot showing the local high street and busyness at night. It then shows a wide shot that gradually tilts up on an estate tower block. Followed by a shot of an opened door leading into a house party, and people going inside it. Then the shot goes to a young girl who is in the mirror and on the phone getting ready, with the shot being a shot reverse shot, starting from the mirror reflection. Then a high angled wide shot is shown within the house party of people dancing and drinking etc. Then shot shows close ups and mid shots of group of girls and boys already drunk on their way to the house party. Then it shows a wide shot of people around a table in the party doing a drinking game of some sort. Then a two shot, mid shot shows a drunken brawl between two people and others watching in the background. It ends with police sirens being heard and whizzing down the street. Throughout the sequence, energetic and fast tempo music will be playing to represent the stereotypical youths of today etc.

British Genre: It starts off with a teenage boy heading a ball and as he has headed the ball it freezes and he says "I'm Bill," then the next shot is of him sliding along the grass for the ball and again it freezes and he says "This is what I like to do in my spare time," and then the music comes in of Get Down On It by Kool and The Gang and he is then walking down a residential area with a red Harrington jacket on jeans and boots with hands in pockets. He then continues to explain to explain how he hasn't grown up in a nice area and has had to get by and nods to a man as he walks past. Then he passes over something in bag in exchange for money and the camera zooms in on the hands and he says "Its only a bit of coke whose it gonna hurt." Then as he turns the corner there are 3 boys standing there ready for a fight and he stands there and narrates saying "Well this doesn't look good but looks like theres only one way out." Then he screams "Come on then," and runs straight at them and the screen goes black.

Horror Genre: A man is shown leading a woman into a wooded area, where he surprises her with a romantic meal by candlelight. it cuts to a Point-of-view shot of an unknown being, who is hiding within the trees watching the couple. the couple are sitting on a blanket enjoying the meal and talking, while doing this over the shoulder shots will be used. A point-of-view shot from the perspective of the unknown figure would then be used, however it would be closer to the couple. a wide shot is then used as the couple then kiss, and as they move apart a figure dressed completely in black with a black hood is seen close to them through the wide shot, and then the candle goes out and the viewer cannot see the characters. a male scream is heard, and then gets fainter as the female character gets a torch, possibly through her phone. close ups are used throughout the following shots to show the worry and fear in her face as she frantically looks for her partner. a crack twig is heard and she runs, and while she is running through the woods alternate point-of-view and high angle shots are used to show the protagonist running, and titling is shown on the high angle shots. the protagonist will then trip, and the screen cuts to black, a scream is heard and then the film name appears.

Final Film Synopsis/Idea:
Our opening sequence shows a couple having a night in together at the girl’s house. The main premise is that a demon is haunting the couple and then goes on to take possession over the boy. It goes to show the boy acting weird after the possession towards his girlfriend. This leads to him disappearing and terrifying the girl through a number of jump scares. The scene ends when the girl's torch dies and when it switches on again, the demon appears behind her. If this was to be made into a full length film, it would follow the idea that the demon possesses males, in order to punish their girlfriends unknowingly.

Potential Locations For Filming:
Location 1: Chelmsford, Essex BY ADRIAN BAMBUR
Location 2: Blackfen, Kent BY TEMITOPE SIJUADE
Location 3: Blackfen, Kent BY ADRIAN BAMBUR
This is the location we have decided to use to film our final piece. This is because it was the best location in regards to accessibility, and it also fits our ideas for our story line.
Sound List:
Our group had the idea that for the scenes of the demon rushing into and through the house, we would have this very unnerving sound over the top of it. Our plan is to make it very loud, much louder than anything else in our scene, this is because we want there to be a contrast between the sound levels of the rest of the scene and the sounds when the camera is following the demon because we want to convey how much more powerful and evil the demon is than the rest of the group.

We also decided to use the idea of bats flapping on top of the white noise sound, in portraying the demon rushing into the house. The combination of the two sounds, sound more effective, giving the idea of an animal creature like sound. The use if the sounds to be extremely loud, would make the audience feel uncomfortable and disturbed by the demons presence, which is what we would like to achieve.

These sounds are perfect for the jump scares in our scene because they are all very loud and sudden which is shocking to the audience. The sound is vital in our scenes as our main goal is to scare the audience, and we plan to do this by shocking them with sound, both diegetic and non diegetic.

Through research, this is the music we decided to use as our final score within our final project. The music throughout was subtle and this would be good for our plot, as we wanted to add our own effective sounds on top, so this would allow it all to blend well together. The subtleness of the music is good, as it has no drastic tone and pitch changes, so we could add upon our own sounds, such as our drastic jump scare noise effects. Listening to it, it successfully set an eerie atmosphere and suggests the presence of an inhumane nature being with the couple. This music would help to highlight and emphasize the vulnerability of the couple.
